For all our projects, whether product, service or policy design, we prioritise user-centered approaches, mobilising methodologies that combine observation, participation, analysis and creativity. The cases on this page illustrate how we apply design thinking, and the methods and expertise we combine to generate value and create smart solutions.
We do this through a systematic process where analytical and creative skills are combined. This process is structured in four main steps: listening, (co-)designing, testing and implementing. In each step we systematically search for ideas and inspiration before we narrow down to concrete solutions, starting from the overall challenge at stake to the fine-tuning of all details.
Expertise and methods include: idea generation techniques, observation of user behaviour, qualitative market research (focus groups or in-depth interviews), conceptual design, all types of visualisation techniques (from sketches to 3D renderings, mock-ups and info graphics), trade-off analysis, participative SWOT analysis, service blueprints, and functional prototypes. Other techniques may well be used on a case-by-case basis.
